Microsoft visual c++ redistributables2/14/2024 This article finds out what it is and how to get it installed, so your app will work on Windows 10. For instance, installing desktop apps can be problematic due to components such as the Visual C++ Redistributable. And those classic apps sometimes have classic problems. Universal apps are the future of Windows 10, but classic apps will be with us for some time. I found the c++ redistributable 2019 update, would installing ONLY that fix my problem? There's a lot of other C++ things but I don't think they're all necessary. But the Windows 10 app story is still going through a significant transition, which initially started with Windows 8. I can't install anything.Īm I supposed to have Visual Studio for this? I'm looking at the installer and there's TONS of files in the community version. I go to the application in my downloads, click open, and all it lets me do is either uninstall or repair. So I go to Microsoft's website and download the 64-bit version for 2015/2017/2019. I also have the 64-bit AND 32-bit installers/wizards/whatever for versions 2012, 2013, and 2015-2019 but nothing else. Doesn't say which version.Īccording to my control panel, I have versions 2005, 2008, and 2010. I'm trying to install a drawing program called Medibang Paint Pro, it tells me I need the C++ redistributable. I just know I've got a 64 bit OS and it's Windows 10. I dunno if specs matter but I can find out. I've tried to install so many things and restarted my computer like 10 times. Sorry I am really not computer savvy but I'll try my best, googling this was not fruitful.
